Elite is always looking for enthusiastic, committed, and compassionate volunteers to help us care for our hospice patients and their families. Volunteers are an essential part of the hospice team and provide an immeasurable service to those in Asotin, Garfield, Latah and Nez Perce counties.
Volunteers can serve a number of different functions and we look to match the talents and interests of our volunteers with the needs of the patient. A patient care volunteer spends one on one time with hospice patients and families. They may play music together, tell stories, watch TV, give haircuts, scrapbook and more. They may also assist the bereaved. A community volunteer provides much needed services to patients by cutting their lawns, shoveling snow, light housekeeping, and other similar activities. A clerical volunteer assists in the office with party planning, the Celebration of Life, our bereavement program and other special projects. We offer training in all of these areas and ongoing trainings and support to our volunteers as well.
